Essay

So I know what I'm writing about. It's love. No, don't get all mushy on me, I'm writing about what causes love, and if our brains are just tricking us, so we have the best offspring. Does Kole, my boyfriend, release a certain pheromone that makes my body recognize that he'll give me healthy offspring? Is there one person on the planet for every other person? One optimal mate? In that light whats up with gay people? They can't reproduce, has something gone awry with their pheromone detectors? I want to involve love potions, because there's alot on the net about those. Does that sound like it would have a place in this essay? Ideas my darlings, ideas!

writing about writing: post one

how does one write about writing? I don't even know how to begin to answer that. I write with my hands. Usually in my sweat pants. While sitting on my bed. I take long lazy afternoons thinking about what I'm going to write. I never sit at my computer and spout amazing essays or fiction on whim. i have to be persuaded into my writing, spurred, inspired. I don't write for the sake of writing, I write for the sake of my sanity. If I didn't write I would go mad, kind of like I am now, trying to blog with an eight-year-old running amok. My brother, not my kid. Than I would never write. This is going to be an ongoing exploration. feel free to follow.

Curiosities

So I've wanted to know, probably forever, who the first blonde was that gave the rest of the blondes in the world a bad reputation. why is it that one person did something stupid so the rest of us have to be branded with the same stigma? I work with a girl and she's brunette, and she's dumb as a post. Yet brunettes aren't plagued with the same issue. I just don't understand why we live in 2012 and we're still facing abysmal stereotypes. It infuriates me. Just saying.
